Overview
Connect your Zoom account to Firehose and transcripts from the Zoom meetings you host come into Firehose automatically. The Call Summary agent then writes a summary of each call and posts it to the feed of each contact who attended.
Before you start
Sync your calendar
Sync your Google or Microsoft calendar to Firehose. Transcripts are matched to meetings on your calendar, so without one nothing can be captured.
Turn on cloud recording in Zoom
In Zoom, go to Settings → Recording → Cloud recording and turn on Create audio transcript. Cloud recording requires a paid Zoom plan.
Be the meeting host
Firehose only captures meetings you host. Teammates who host their own calls should connect their own Zoom accounts.
Connect Zoom
In Firehose, go to Settings → Integrations.
On the Zoom card, click Connect Zoom.
Sign in to Zoom and approve access.
When you're connected, the Zoom card shows your Zoom account. Firehose also brings in transcripts from your qualifying meetings in the last 30 days.
Which meetings are captured
Captured
A meeting is captured when:
It's on your synced calendar and the invite includes a standard Zoom link (for example, zoom.us/j/123456789)
At least one attendee is a contact in Firehose
You hosted it, and it was cloud-recorded with an audio transcript
Not captured
Zoom Webinars
Personal meeting links (zoom.us/my/yourname)
Meetings hosted by someone else
Internal meetings with no Firehose contacts
After your call
Zoom finishes processing the recording and transcript, usually a few minutes after the meeting ends.
Firehose picks up the transcript.
The Call Summary agent writes a summary and posts it as a Meeting activity on each attending contact's feed.
Editing a transcript
You can view or edit the transcript on the meeting. If you save changes, the summary is refreshed from your edited text.
Disconnect Zoom
Go to Settings → Integrations and click Disconnect on the Zoom card. Firehose stops capturing new transcripts, but transcripts already saved stay in your workspace.
Troubleshooting
I see "Reconnect Zoom to resume transcript capture."
Your Zoom authorization has expired. Click Reconnect Zoom and approve access again.
A meeting has no transcript
Check that:
You hosted the meeting
It was cloud-recorded with audio transcripts turned on
A Firehose contact was invited
The invite uses a standard Zoom link
Very recent meetings may still be processing in Zoom.
There's a transcript but no call summary
At least one attendee needs to be a contact in Firehose. Without one, the transcript is saved but no summary is created.
I don't see the Zoom card in Settings
Zoom transcripts are being rolled out gradually. Contact support to check whether it's available for your workspace.
