Connecting Your Google or Microsoft Account (INBOX REVIEW)

How to connect your Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 account to Firehose to enable email and calendar access.

Written by Chad Deely

Firehose connects to your email provider to sync your inbox and, for Google users, your calendar. This connection is either established during signup or can be granted later from the Inbox or Calendar pages.

Google Workspace

Connecting a Google account grants Firehose access to:

  • Gmail — to display your inbox, sync emails to CRM records, and send emails on your behalf

  • Google Calendar — to display your upcoming meetings and match attendees to CRM contacts

Both are granted in a single authorization step.

How to connect (if not done during signup)

  1. Navigate to Inbox or Calendar from the left sidebar

  2. Click Grant Access

  3. You will be redirected to Google to authorize Firehose

  4. Select your Google Workspace account and approve the requested permissions

  5. You will be returned to Firehose automatically

Microsoft 365

Connecting a Microsoft account grants access to your Outlook inbox. Microsoft calendar integration is not currently available.

After connecting

Your inbox will begin syncing immediately. For Google users, the calendar will display a "Syncing…" indicator while the initial pull completes — this typically takes under a minute.
