Logging Activities

How to log sales activities against contacts, companies, and deals in Firehose.

Activities are logged interactions — calls, emails, LinkedIn messages, voicemails, demos, and any other types your admin has configured. Logging an activity creates a record in the timeline of the relevant contact, company, or deal.

Logging an activity

  1. Open a contact, company, or deal record

  2. Click Log Activity in the timeline section

  3. Select the activity type

  4. Add a note (optional)

  5. Save

Activity types

The available types are configured by your admin in the Activity Types section. Common types include Call, Email, Voicemail, Text Message, LinkedIn Message, and LinkedIn Connection Request.

Viewing activity history

All logged activities appear in the timeline of the associated company, contact, or deal. The Activity Report under Reports gives a team-wide view of activity counts by rep and time of day.
