My calendar won't load or shows "Syncing…"

What to do if your Firehose calendar is stuck loading or shows a syncing indicator.

"Syncing your calendar…" indicator

This message appears right after you connect your Google Calendar for the first time. Firehose needs to complete an initial pull of your events — this typically takes under a minute. If the indicator has been showing for more than a few minutes, try refreshing the page.

"Failed to load calendar events" error

This usually means one of two things:

  1. Your account was recently connected but the initial sync did not complete — often caused by a brief server interruption during onboarding. Refreshing the page usually resolves this.

  2. Your Google authorization has expired — go to the Calendar page, click Grant Access, and reconnect your Google account.

If the problem persists, contact support.
