Connecting Claude to Firehose

How to connect Claude to your Firehose workspace using MCP, what access to grant, and how to manage or revoke the connection.

Written by Chad Deely

Give Claude secure, direct access to your Firehose data.

What this does MCP (Model Context Protocol) connects Firehose directly to Claude. Once connected, Claude can look up your CRM data and take actions in Firehose — such as checking your pipeline, updating a contact, or creating a to-do — from within your conversation with it.

Availability MCP is available on the Stream plan and higher. An admin must turn it on for the workspace before anyone can connect Claude.

  • Admins: go to Company Settings > MCP and turn on "Allow users to connect via MCP."

What Claude can do once connected When you approve the connection, you choose whether to grant read-only or read-and-write access. Depending on what you approve, Claude can:

  • Look up contacts, companies, and deals

  • Check your to-do list and pipeline summary

  • Create and complete to-dos

  • Update contact and company details

  • Add notes, segments, competitors, and titles

Connect Claude

  1. In Claude, go to Settings > Connectors.

  2. Choose "Add custom connector" and enter the Firehose MCP URL: https://app.firehose.ai/mcp

  3. Click Connect. Claude will redirect you to Firehose to log in (if needed) and review the connection.

  4. Approve the requested access — read-only or read and write.

  5. Claude confirms the connection is active. You can now ask it about your Firehose data directly.

Menu names in Claude may change as the product updates. If you don't see a Connectors option, your Claude plan may not support custom connectors yet.

Managing the connection Go to Settings > MCP in Firehose to see every assistant connected to your account, including when it connected, when it was last used, and its access level. Click Revoke next to the connection to disconnect it immediately.
